Audi Germany and Riello UPS systems from Italy cooperate to produce efficient and effective electric vehicle charging

Standby Systems, the Southern Africa distributor for the world’s 5^th largest UPS manufacturer, Riello UPS, announces the recent news from Riello UPS in Milano, Italy – Riello Sirio-Power-Supply or SPS is to be used by the Audi brand center of experience.

The AUDI AG Brand Experience Center event and conference building at Munich Airport has 1,650 photovoltaic elements (dark glass surfaces) whose electricity is used to supply the building and the charging stations for e-vehicles. (Those: AUDI AG)

Riello UPS has been involved in supplying SPS systems to be used in the Munich Airport for the 78 x EV charging stations provided by Audi. The SPS is a specialised Riello system that can be used in conjunction with the Riello Grid-Tie Photovoltaic Inverter Systems to allow excess solar energy to be pushed back into the supply grid or to charge additional backup battery systems to supply building load when there is insufficient solar energy available for the building load.
