Standby Systems announces the new range of thin plate pure lead TPPL lead-acid high rate UPS batteries.

The new ELITE TPPL sealed battery range has been launched in SA by Standby Systems. This float application backup battery is specifically designed for use with UPS systems. They have an unprecedented high power output performance to support any instant high-demand power requirements from 5 minutes to 60 minutes.

TPPL, which stands for Thin Plate Pure Lead, is the latest state-of-the-art technology available in the lead-acid battery arsenal of ELITE standby and cyclic products. It is produced on a con-cast punch plate production line that is fully automated. This ensures optimum product build quality along with the pure lead content of the plates. They are assembled by robots on a 24/7 basis making for quick delivery times for fast UPS emergency power and reserve backup DC power projects.

What does the TPPL battery offer you that other products can’t or don’t?

  • Up to 15 years design life at 25 degrees Celsius
  • Very fast recharge times, unlike normal VRLA batteries
  • High density and cyclic performance levels
  • Up to 2 years storage time before it needs a recharge
  • Very wide operating temperature ability with reduced service life of up to 60 degrees Celsius
  • Flame retardant casing to UL94 – VO

The ELITE TPPL batteries are available in the following sizes:

  • 12V 360 W
  • 12V 380 W
  • 12V 425 W
  • 12V 560 W
