Uninterruptible power supply experts SHEQ awards

STANDBY SYSTEMS (UPS SYSTEMS FROM 600 VA TO 6,4 MILLION VA), RECEIVES HEALTH AND SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARD.

On 7 December 2018, Devon Paar represented Standby Systems at the annual Health and Safety Performance Ceremony for the Eskom Medupi Project.

During the ceremony, Standby Systems received an award for our Health and Safety Performance for 2018.
The award is presented to companies for their Health and Safety excellence and achieving specified Health and Safety goals:

• No LTI’s (Loss Time Injuries) for 2018
• No Reportable Incidents for 2018
• No fatalities for 2018
• Man Hours Worked Incident Free

Eskom’s Medupi power stations overall safety rating goal was 0.23 and the site ended 2018 on a rating of 0.08.

Standby Systems has been working at the Medupi power station build site since the site office was established in 2011.

Standby Systems has, supplied AROS RIELLO UPS systems for emergency power backup and the entire UPS project has been incident free since the start of this project nearly 10 years ago.
This health and safety award is the second award given by ESKOM to this UPS Company during the projects history. The first health and safety award being received in 2013 for best performing contractor in health and safety in 2013.
