Riello Multi Power2 M2X modular UPS system delivering scalable, high-efficiency power protection for small data centres and critical applications
January 27, 2026
Riello UPS has announced the launch of Multi Power2 M2X, a new generation of modular online double-conversion UPS systems developed to support power continuity, scalability, and high energy efficiency in small data centres and critical infrastructure environments.
Multi Power2 M2X is engineered to deliver high power availability, redundant system configurations, and double-conversion efficiency of up to 98.1%. The system supports scalable capacity from 15 to 120 kW within a single cabinet, allowing installations to be aligned with current operational requirements and expanded as infrastructure demands evolve.
The UPS architecture is based on hot-swappable 2U power modules, available in 15 kW variants (IGBT or Silicon Carbide BLUE technology) and 30 kW variants (Silicon Carbide BLUE technology). Each module incorporates distributed intelligence and communicates through high-speed redundant communication buses, maintaining operational continuity even if an individual module is removed or fails.
Two cabinet configurations are available, each rated up to 120 kW:
Both cabinet options support N+1 redundancy, flexible combinations of 15 kW and 30 kW modules, and parallel operation of up to six cabinets, enabling total system capacity of up to 720 kW.
Multi Power2 M2X is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen interface, advanced monitoring capabilities, and enhanced connectivity via the System Monitoring Unit with NetMan 208. The platform can also be supplemented with a wide range of accessories, allowing system configuration to be tailored to specific application requirements.
